If you have the 4.3 V6 engine I find it best to jack up the front of the truck, support with jack stands and remove front wheels. With a long extension on your plug socket you can easily change all but #3 cylinder. With #3 I use a standard plug socket with a "wobble" extension to get around the steering shaft.
