The fuel filter is located in the rear underside of the car near the fuel tank. Just depresurize the fuel system. All you need to do to do that is take out the fuel pump fuse and attempt to start the car a few times. Then go back there disconnect the fuel filter and check it out. Or you can just replace it. Its pretty cheap. Like 15 bucks.
