If it is a manual transmission, there will be a fill plug 1/2 way up on the side. Remove the plug and insert your little finger to the first joint. Bent it to the first joint and you should feel the fluid. If not then add. If it is an automatic, warm up the engine Put the transmission in park and check the level.
Type F Automatic Transmission Fluid
First, Honda did not mak a "750" Goldwing. In 1976 the Goldwing was a 1000 cc machine known as the GL1000. As for transmission fluid, the 1976 GL1000 does not use transmission fluid. It has a wet clutch, and the engine oil provides all the lubrication that the clutch and transmission requires. For this reason it is extremely important to use the correct engine oil and change it at regular intervals. For detailed information check out www.randakks.com.

Your 1976 sportster holds one quart of fluid. I use HD Sportlube or HD PRI ANDTRANS LUBE, but in the olden days I used a 20 wt non detergent motor oil. This fluid lubes the clutches and transmission gears and primary chain.
I want to say 5-6 Qt, but you should ask your mechanic.
if its automatic then just plain Jane ATF
Brake fluid reservoir is located on the firewall next to the steering column. Remove cover top of master cylinder to add brake fluid.
generally speaking if you've only changed the filter no more than 5 qts stopping @ 4 qt's and warming it up to check the level prior to adding any more fluid. It's a good idea to have 6 qts on hand just in case and never use anything but type 4 fluid for mopars ONLY, none of the ford or gm
