To connect an A B timing light on an EM7 Mack engine, first, ensure the engine is off. Attach the timing light's power leads to the battery (positive to positive and negative to ground), then connect the inductive pickup around the number one spark plug wire. Start the engine and aim the timing light at the timing marks on the engine's harmonic balancer to check the ignition timing. Adjust the timing as necessary based on the manufacturer's specifications.
To set the timing on a Mack E-7 fuel pump and engine, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder number one. Then, align the timing marks on the fuel pump and the engine's timing gear. Adjust the fuel pump's position as needed to achieve the correct timing, typically indicated by specific marks or a timing tool. Finally, secure the fuel pump and recheck the timing to ensure accuracy.
by adjusting the fuel injection screw
Either a Mack or a Cummins engine.
first of all ,you will need an A/B light ,you can purchase one from kent Moore tools ,then you will bar the engine over until you see the 1 and 6 six marks on the fly wheel at the bottom of the bell housing . If you have and older e6 model there will be apionter at the harmonic balancer at the front of the engine ,bar the engine until both indictor lights come on on the a/b light then you be able to see what the timing is set at
To set the injection pump timing on a Mack E7-350, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke of the number one cylinder. Next, remove the timing cover to access the timing marks on the injection pump and the gear. Align the timing marks according to the manufacturer's specifications, then secure the pump in place. Finally, double-check the alignment and reassemble the components before starting the engine to verify proper operation.

Mack cyclinder head
THE MARKS ARE USED WITH A STROBE LIGHT TIMING GUN TO SET THE DISTRIBUTAR TIMING.BEING THE ELECTRICAL SPARK CHARGE TO THE CYLINDER HEAD .THERE NOT IMPORTANT IF YOUR CAR RUNS GOOD......................BUDDY MACK..
Need to know if it has the Mack or Cummins engine in order to answer.
To increase horsepower on an E7 Mack engine, you can consider several modifications. Upgrading the turbocharger and enhancing the fuel delivery system can significantly boost performance. Additionally, tuning the engine's ECM (Electronic Control Module) for optimal fuel maps and ignition timing can further improve horsepower. Finally, ensuring proper maintenance and using high-quality fuels can also contribute to better engine performance.
ok if you have the timing cover off look ate you cam pulley you will see to dots with letters a E and a I mack shore you you do this right put the E ate the top when you have done that spine it 2 time and mack shore you put it back on E mack shore you have the timing cover on you need the mark on the cover to me in line with E in the cam pulley on now the fun starts put the timing cover on but do not but timing bleat on put your bottom pulley on there is a little notch on it ok now on you timing comer you will see numbers put the little notch on .0. then tack the timing cover off and pulley put you belt on just mack shore you do not move any pulley.and now put it all back to gather and id should
