The fuel filter is a black cylinder that has a rubber hose coming straight out the bottom and curved when going in the top. It is smaller than a soda can and is bolted to the wall furthest from the front fender under the hood and is in the vicinity of the batter.

The starter is positioned at the rear bottom of engine but almost in the dead center, close to the firewall and slightly to the right of driver's side front tire. It is difficult to see from above. The best way to find it is to locate the oil filter. The starter is positioned directly beside it. Slide under the car and find the oil filter. Place your hand on the oil filter and slide it to left -- the next object you touch is the starter. Look at the rear bottom of the engine driver's side

You should find it in the trunk compartment. Mine is located on the right hand side as you are looking forward from the back.
