its a easy but long process .You will have to remove the motor so you can split the motor in half. You need a clean working area and a manual (buy one or find a free download). Air tools will make the job faster but are not necessary. Do not buy the parts ahead of time cause you might not need to replace the whole thing. I have been lucky twice and only had to replace the springs (two $ each). So figure out if you can follow a manual and go from there
