You must open up the back hatch of the bobcat to access the oil filter and pull it out. Then go to the side of the bobcat and pull the tab on the bottom side of the bobcat down. This will drain the spare fluids in the container.
Check for high resistance in the wiring to the solenoid, and in the battery cables. A weak battery can also cause this. If one battery is good, and the other is a little weak, the truck can turn over at normal speed, while the fuel solenoid doesn't move.
There is not an emergency release on that vehicle. You'll have to pull the carpet back to pull on the cable that goes from the solenoid to the release.
Remove inner boot trim, locate solenoid pin,and pull back.
pull the battery for a few minutes. if it comes back check gas cap seal or purge solenoid temporary relief
Usually the Electro-mechanical Fuel Shut-off solenoid is bound/weak and not leaving fuel flow fully open. Once cranked, the sudden loss of voltage can allow a marginal solenoid to lose its magnetic grip on rod, allowing return spring pressure to win out returning to a fuel shut-off situation. Replacement of fuel shutoff solenoid will fix this issue approximately 90% of the time.
One battery is sufficient if it has enough capacity. You will not succeed in pull starting that truck because the fuel shut off solenoid only activates (turns the fuel on) when the starter is engaged.
Underneath the intake manifold. Remove the intake and then the tops of the solenoids will be visible in the valley between the heads. Then undo the solenoid hold-down bolt (1 per solenoid) and CAREFULLY (the plastic heads are fragile and crack easily) pull/pry the solenoid straight up (slip fit with o-rings like a fuel injector).
there is no hydraulic drain plug on a bobcat 763 you need to pull a line off the bottom of the tank like when you change the case drain filters
Magnetism
On the 4.6L engine. The starter solenoid is located on the passenger's side firewall. Next to the hood hinge. Just under the plastic hard shell cover. It's a black cover on the firewall. Pull cover off and you will see the solenoid relay switch. CAUTION: When disconnecting the plastic hard shell connector at the starter solenoid S-terminal, grasp the plastic connector, depress the plastic tab, and pull off the lead assembly. Do not pull on the lead wire or damage may result. look for a cover like this...The solenoid relay switch should be under it.
drain pan while pulling pan, pull pan off, then on drivers side of trans you will see where the valve body bolts to the far right side of truck, there is a sheetmetal retainer that holds both the solenoid and the sensor in place, pull the 3 1/4" bolts that hold it to the trans along with the 2 torx srews, once all bolts and screws are removed pull downward on sheetmetal retainer/bracket and the solenoid should pull right out of valve body, once solenoid and bracket are removed you can pull the black sensor out of the side of the govenor block. reverse to install!
