Take you foot off the gas pedal, brake slightly, and slowly return to the pavement. If you do not panic and jerk the steering wheel, you will be fine.

You probably have torque wrap from driving in 4WD on dry pavement. Get off the pavement and try disengaging.
It is a pimped out 4X4 vehicle that is all about vanity and appearance. It will never leave the pavement. It is owned by an off-road poseur.
If you drive on uneven pavement for about 5k miles non stop it will, but off and on in construction zones it wont.
You'll be driving in the dirt/grass.
Slow down but proceed forward and slowly steer back on to the pavement.
