You have to either move a lot of stuff if going from the top, or you can go from the bottom. beware, if you are going from the bottom, NEVER put your head under it. leaks or grit can make you wish that you had not.
The washer fluid for the liftgate is supplied by the reservoir for the windshield ( according to the owners manual )
According to the 2005 Ford Escape Owner Guide : The windshield washer fluid for the liftgate is supplied by the reservoir for the windshield that is located in the engine compartment
That is located in/or under the main washer fluid reservoir tank.
About 400-500 dollars
My wife has a 2001 Ford Escape and I got a price of 180.00 and they will come to my house and install it.
I went to replace cabin filter in a 2003 ford escape (bought escape new) there was no filter in the place filter was suppose to be. Actually damage the seal on windshield because of dry rot when getting to the place filter was suppose to be. I will not attempt this again because of the poor design to replace filter.
On a 2006 Ford Escape : The brake fluid reservoir is also the clutch fluid reservoir
NO!!
After you have completed work on the cooling system and you begin to replace the coolant, open the bleeder a couple turns. As you pour coolant into the reservoir air trapped will escape out the bleeder. As soon as you see coolant come out of the bleeder close the bleeder valve and continue to add coolant to the reservoir until you have reached the full mark. Replace cap on reservoir. Allow vehicle to run through a drive cycle and cool down. Top off reservoir to full mark if necessary.
The outside faucet may be leaking when a hose is attached due to a worn-out washer or a damaged seal in the faucet. This can cause water to escape and leak out when the hose is connected and the faucet is turned on. It is recommended to replace the washer or seal to fix the leak.
The brake fluid reservoir
It may have a bad temperature sensor. My 01 Escape radiator light comes on intermittently and I can't nail down the precise conditions. 3 different FORD garages have told me the sensor in the coolant reservoir is bad. Bad news is that to replace the sensor you have to replace the whole reservoir; good news is that it only costs ~$75 at Autozone. Since I know that this is the problem I just keep an eye on the fluid level until I get a chance to replace it.
