start your own car like it was a regular old day. while the car is still on disconnect the car battery and remove it, get a pair of jumper cables connect them each end to the battery wires (positive to positive and negative to negative). get your hydraulic battery you gotta put it on something other then the ground. connect the other end of the jumper cables to the battery and charge its that easy. if you don't get how i just explained it sorry.
50 batteries?? Are you running a competition grade sound system?? Here's my two cents. Chances are, you alternator was designed to charge a single battery. Making it charge 50 at once will likely kill the alternator. However, if you don't hook up your extra batteries to the alternator, they obviously won't get charged. If you will be remotely charging the batteries, (say at home in the garage) then I guess that won't be a problem. But if you do want to charge them while the car is running you'll probably have to set up a special charging rig, or at least a much stronger alternator.
You'd need to hook the bike up to a generator.
Either the battery is bad and won't accept a charge or the alternator is not putting a charge into the battery. Have the battery tested. You can hook up an inexpensive volt meter to the battery while the car is running. You should see from 13.5 to 14.5 volts if the alternator is working properly. If it is less than 13.5 volts then the alternator is not charging.
Separate the 2 12 volt batteries and charge them individually.
Ignition off, hook a battery charger to the battery post and let it charge. Black - Red + Disconnect the charger before starting the vehicle. You do not have to remove the cables nor take the battery out of the vehicle. Batteries are constantly being charged on the vehicle with the alternator. That is just unnecessary work for nothing. Since the battery is in the fender, you hook the battery charger to the jump start posts under the hood.
A weak or failing battery, corroded terminals, or alternator problems may cause your car battery to jump-start but not hold a charge. Professional testing can confirm the exact problem. It is important to replace faulty batteries or repair charging components to ensure reliable performance and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
How to hook up 6 8v batteries in searise <><><> Batteries connected in series have the negative (-) of one connected to the positive (+) of the next, until all 6 batteries are connected.
You can start a car without a battery if you hook up a jump pack or use jumper camples but it could fry your alternator. It is pointless to charge a car without a battery. When you charge the car you are charging the battery.
For safety sake hook each battery to its own charger. Definitely do not try to use one charger for 2 batteries. Also, I strongly suggest using modern "smart" chargers that automatically shut off after the battery is charged. Trying to charge 2 batteries with 1 charger is a recipe for an explosion and fire.
Noting, just install it and hook it up.
You will need a voltmeter,or the volt gauge in the dash, if it has readable numbers on it.(test is more accurate with a voltmeter)With a volt meter, hook up positive to positive and negative to negative, right at the batteries will suffice.Make sure the meter is set to D.C. in the range of approximately 20 volts. With the truck running at idle, batteries charged, and all accessories turned off you should have about 14 volts give or take .5 (1/2) a volt, will vary depending on the charge in the batteries. If you are only showing 12 volts or less the alternator is not charging or(you have a bad connection, bad battery or a short somewhere). If it is between 12 volts and 13.5 either the batteries are not fully charged, the alternator is not charging properly or you may have a bad battery or bad connection. If the batteries charge okay with a portable charger it is not always safe to assume that they are in good condition. If you suspect a bad battery have them load tested especialy if they are over 3 years old. (It is important that all connections are clean especially the battery posts and connectors)Also if an alternator has a bad diode,it can still charge but can drain your batteries down when the truck is shut off.
