You didn't say whether or not your tail lights were working or not , before you found fuses missing. If they were, then the missing fuses may not be missing but may be just empty clips for future add-ons.
To find a blown fuse, check for a gap in the silver "wire" or link inside the fuse, that should be visible whether your fuses are the older glass fuses or the "two-legged" type fuses more commonly used today. Depending on location (not having to stand on your head to look at them) , do a visual on all of your fuses, find the bad one, and replace it with one just like it.
If you can't easily access your fuse panel, you're stuck with pulling each fuse individually and doing a visual.
If your lights don't work after replacing any bad fuses you may find, then check light bulbs - usually accessed from the backside of the tail light , inside your trunk (look for burnt filaments or check it with a meter).
A Ford Focus fuse diagram will show the placement of all fuses for the vehicle including the brake and headlights, the interior lights, and the dashboard lights. This diagram is generally located on the inside cover of the fuse box.
Look in your owners manual if you have it and it will have a diagram of all the fuses and their functions.
It is important to have the diagram when changing fuses. If the cover to the fuse box is gone, a person can look in the owners manual and find a fuse box diagram.
open fuse box, pull fuses until you find the one that is burned out. then replace that fuse. VOILA! brake lights work again. I think all dodges have a diagram of the fuses in the fuse box cover just find the brake fuse and replace it.
All the fuses are located to the side of the steering wheel. Remove flip down panel and search for the fuse using the fuse diagram located on the back of the flip down panel.
It depends greatly on your car. There should be a diagram on the fuse box, if none then check all fuses and replace with a fuse of the same amps.
My 92 Eagle Summit has the horn fuse in the fuse box on the driver's side leg area near the emergency brake (on an auto). If the cap to the fuse box is missing (there's a diagram of all the fuses on it), check for burnt fuses.
Please, where is fuse box for rear brake´s lights in Chrysler Gran Voyager MY 2003 ? Thanks
where is the fuse box locations on a 1992 ford explorer?
Remove and replace the fuses one at a time whilst pressing the brake peddle until the lights go out.
might just have to pull all fuses one at a time and replace blown ones
In a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport, the tail lights and dash lights are typically controlled by the fuse located in the fuse box. Specifically, the fuse for the tail lights is usually a 15-amp fuse, while the dash lights are often on a separate 15-amp fuse. It's always a good idea to check the vehicle's fuse diagram, usually found on the fuse box cover, for the exact fuse numbers and ratings. If either set of lights is malfunctioning, checking these fuses is a good first step in troubleshooting.
