go to your local parts store and purchase a simple toggle switch. hook one end of the switch to a good ground and hook the wire for the parking brake from the radio to the switch. when you insert a DVD and get the blue screen turn the switch on then off then on again slowly and you will have video
i need to hook up the video wire so i can play dvds. i need to bypass the parking brake. how do i hook up the wires to bypass the brake issue
you have to hook it up to a basic toggle switch and ground it and when you turn it on you have to flip the switch a couple times,... you cant just ground it or it will show the blue screen
The BMW has a very finicky dash and won't accept the Clarion touchscreen, unfortunately.
The Clarion, like all car DVD players, does have anti-skip technology. You shouldn't notice any skipping unless you're going off-road.
Buy the bypass "adapter" from eBay.
I have a clarion unit and what i did was run the green brake wire to chassis ground, tap in a toggle switch by cutting the green wire & wiring the green wire to the toggle switch. When the clarion unit is on all you have to do is turn the switch off then on, and that will bypass the brake switch allowing to watch video moving or sitting. Mine works perfect.
Connect green wire ( handbrake ) to Ground (earth)
gound it put the wire in the ground of the car sterio
just ground the parking brake wire
Just take that wire and ground it. See related link
Can you make cd changer cord on a clarion 7770 work an ipod
Yes, the Clarion Vx300 has parking bypass codes that can enable video functionality while the vehicle is in motion. However, the use of these codes may violate local laws and the manufacturer's warranty. It's important to proceed with caution and ensure compliance with any applicable regulations. Always consult the user manual or a professional for guidance.
