Starter
Removal & Installation1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
3. Remove the starter terminal cover.
4. Remove the terminal nut and separate the battery starter cable from the starter motor.
5. Disconnect the solenoid (S) terminal connector, if equipped with a starter mounted solenoid.
Ø To disconnect the hard-shell connector from the solenoid (S) terminal, grasp the plastic shell and pull off; do not pull on the wire. Pull straight off to prevent damage to the connector and (S) terminal.
6. Remove the starter motor retaining bolts.
7. Remove the starter motor from the vehicle.
To Install:
8. Place the starter motor in position and install the starter motor retaining bolts. Tighten the bolts to 15-20 ft. lbs. (20-27 Nm).
9. Install the battery starter cable and a terminal nut to the starter motor. Tighten the terminal nuts to 79 inch lbs. (9 Nm).
10. Connect the solenoid (S) terminal connector, if equipped with a starter mounted solenoid.
11. Install the starter solenoid safety cap. If equipped.
12. Lower the vehicle.
13. Connect the negative battery cable.
14. Start the engine several times to check starter motor operation.
To install a starter in a 1994 Saturn, first, disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the starter by unbolting it from its bracket and disconnecting the electrical connections. Position the new starter in place, reconnect the electrical wires, and secure it with bolts. Finally, reconnect the negative battery cable and test the starter to ensure proper functionality.
On the top of the starter where wires connect
remove the neg battery cable then the wires on the starter. Then take out the mounting bolts and work the starter out.

Do you mean the starter solenoid? It's the part of the starter where the wires are bolted on. You'll have to remove and rebuild the starter.
Its one of the wires coming off the positive (+) terminal of the battery. Don't burn yourself on the exhaust manifold
Remove one battery post. Find the starter and remove the wire connectors - after marking where they are to be reinstalled on the new starter. Remove bolts from starter and install new sarter in the same position Reconnect the electrical connections.
First disconect the battery then take the wires from your starter then take out the only 2 bolts holding it in.
open the hood and check above the grill area. there should be wires from the battery attached to it.
1.Disconnect negative battery cable. 2. Climb underneath and locate the starter. 3. Disconnect cables and wires on starter. 4. Remove bolts holding starter in place. 5. Remove starter. Installaton is REVERSE of removal
theres two bolts that hold the starter in place and two wires that attach to the motor. Remove the nuts holding the wires and take note of where each go. then while supporting the starter remove the two bolts and it should slide right out as one piece.
Hey George===First remove the negative battery cable. Rme ve the flywheel cover. Then remove the bolts holding the starter to the block. Drop the starter down enough to remove the wires. then remove the starter. GoodluckJoe
