Five years of testing. Normally trying to fix starter batteries are fruitless because the plates are thin for maximum lead exposure which produce high cranking amps. Due to sulphation and heat exposure with eventually cause the thin plates to deteriorate. By a higher CCA battery for thicker plates.

As far as deep cycle batteries I fix them all day long

What kind of acids are in batteries?

The acids commonly found in batteries are sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. Sulfuric acid is typically used in lead-acid batteries, while hydrochloric acid can be found in some types of rechargeable batteries like nickel-cadmium batteries. These acids play a role in facilitating the chemical reactions that generate electricity in batteries.

What gas is leaked from sealed lead acid batteries?

Hydrogen is discharged during the charging process of lead acid batteries, sealed batteries are a misnomer, they are only sealed against liquid leakage.

Do they make lithium ion batteries for wheelchairs?

yes they do, they are standard on most current models because they are smaller and last longer than lead-acid batteries, not to mention lead-acid batteries are dangerous if tampered with.
