Pull on the plastic peice that is closest to you and it should pop off so you can get your sterio out, Right?
The 1999 Dodge Ram dashboard is held in place with six retaining bolts and 10 retaining clips. Remove the retaining bolts and pry outward on the retaining clips. The dashboard will come off in two pieces.

Remove the dashboard instrument cluster cover. The cover is secured with four retaining screws. Take hold of the dashboard light, push in and turn at the same time to remove it. Reverse the process to install the new dashboard light.

An orifice tube can be removed on the 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 by cutting it out of the liquid line. It is actually easier to replace the whole evaporator tube than just the orifice tube.
