There are only two straps actually holding the tank up. First put a jack or something under the tank to keep it from falling directly to the ground. If it has fuel in it it will weigh about 6 1/2 pounds for each gallon in the tank. Next disconnect the filler tube. remove the nuts holding the straps. Once the straps are loose lower the tank gently about 5 inches. Reach up on top and disconnect the electrical leads and the fuel and vapor cannister lines. Be very careful with them because they are attached to the fuel pump and if they break, you are going to have to spend about $300.00 for a new pump. Once you have released the electric and lines. You can lower the tank to the ground. It is not a very hard job but you do need to be careful doing it.
