Release any clips or screws securing the housing cover, then carefully lift it off. Remove the old air filter from the housing, ensuring no debris falls into the intake. Finally, clean the housing, insert the new filter, and reassemble the cover securely.
In a VW T4 2.5 TDi, the oil filter is located on the front side of the engine, just above the oil pan. To access it, you may need to remove the engine cover and possibly the air intake duct for better visibility and reach. The filter itself is a cylindrical metal component, typically positioned horizontally. Make sure to drain the oil and replace the filter with the correct type during maintenance.

If you are under the car you can clearly see it. It's a bit to right hand side. Covered slightly by the metal/plastic cover under the engine. If you want to replace it - it can be best to remove the cover under the engine compartment. Will take a bit of time, but it will prevent you from dripping oil on it when you change the filter. It will only take like 10-15 minutes to change the oil and filter. The filter contain a bit of oil, so when you change the oil, you can add a bit extra to fill up the filter. The T4 use some oil all the time, so remember to check it regularly.

The old Total T4 test (TT4) is no longer considered the best way to test for T4 levels. T4 and T3 can both be bound by other proteins and hormones in the body. When this happens, the T4 or T3 is not usable by the body. The body can only use T4 and T3 that is not bound, or free. For this reason, Free T4, which only tests the free levels of the hormone, is now preferred over Total T4 testing as more accurate.
To replace the valve stem seals on a T4 engine, first, remove the valve cover and spark plugs, then use a compression tester or air compressor to keep the valves closed. Next, remove the rocker arms and pushrods, followed by the cylinder head. Once the head is off, replace the old valve stem seals with new ones, ensuring they are properly seated, then reassemble the engine in reverse order, making sure to torque all bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.
