You have to remove the screws to the battery mount.
1. Loosen the (2) six sided screws completely in front of the base of the battery.
2. Loosen the heightened screw completely that extends from the back of the base of the battery mount.
3. Be careful not to cut yourself removing the battery. Lift the battery out of the mount.
