well i know on my 94 blazer it turns in the opposite direction.

remove belt, remove upper accessory tensioner bolt (shock) remove bolts holding power steering pump and push to side - to get at recessed tensioner bolt. remove lower a/c bracket - front of engine. Remove tensioner bolts and tensioner.
