Remove the handles by pushing in on the panel exposing the spring clip holding the handle to the mechanism. Remove the spring clip by pulling on it with a long nose pliers. Remove the screws holding the arm rest to the door.
With a broad bladed instrument (putty knife?), and working slowly and carefully, pry around the edges of the lining until it is free of the door.
After all the clips are disengaged pull it carefully away from the door being careful of any wires that my still be attached (if you have pwer windows).
For access to the interior of the door carefully pry out the retainers and detach the inner plastic shield.
To re-install: after first making sure you have replaced any clips that may have become detached during the process, follow the procedure in reverse.
