If the oil is found outside of the threaded portion of the spark plug, you probably have an external gasket or seal leak. Replacing the faulty gasket or seal would stop that. If the oil is found on the electrode side of the plug, you probably have worn rings and/or bad valve seals. This condition would probably be the result of a high mileage or poorly maintained engine. Rebuilding or replacment would be necessary to properly cure that.
