What it sounds like to me would be a rear main seal. Oil might be leaking into the transmission bell housing and when the car is reversed the momentum is dumping what the bell housing caught.
If Engine oil is present, It would most likely be the rear-main oil-seal leaking! could also be coming from the valve cover(s)
