To replace the fuel filter on a Toyota T100, first, ensure the vehicle is turned off and relieve the fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls. Next, locate the fuel filter, typically found along the frame rail on the driver's side. Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter using appropriate tools, then remove the filter from its bracket. Install the new filter in the same orientation as the old one, reconnect the fuel lines, and replace the fuel pump fuse before starting the engine to check for leaks.

The fuel filter is an integral component of the fuel pump assembly located in the fuel tank. A recent post on the Toyota Nation forum says that the fuel filter can be purchased separately. The fuel pump is reached by removing the rear seat cushion and removing an access plate that holds the fuel pump assembly. My maintenance schedule does not say anything about replacing the fuel filter. A Toyota tech member of Toyota Nation says they very seldom have to replace the fuel filter.

If it has a replaceable filter I recommend every 75,000 miles.
