i just had to fix my fuel pump. you gotta drop the tank. any DIY can get under van and see whats gotta be taken off. id start by jacking van up on drivers side about a foot for gas tank to clear bottom of van. next remove guard on bottom of tank then find and remove wire harness and gas lines on passenger side of van. ok drop tank and remove round plate looking thing on top of tank this is attached to your fuel pump. my fuel pump had a rubber hose going from pump to filter that had a hole in it . i replaced this , the filter and cleaned out tank with mild acid solution rinsed it out then replaced it and its been running great ever since
1994 What?
When you replaced the fuel pump did you replace the short fuel line from the pump to sending unit? I didn't when I replaced the fuel pump on my 94 Safari and I had that problem. Also check to see if the pump is running when you turn the key on it should run for a few seconds. If pump works replace fuel filter. If still no luck check the fuel pressure. It should be around 80 to 100 psi.
NO
Mounted on top and inside the fuel tank.
