With little or no fuel in the tank, start to remove all the connections, hoses, wires, and outlet rubber lines. Remove the bolts that hold the straps, the tank will slide out on the side a little just enough to get by the exhaust pipe. The car should be supported under the frame part in front of the rear wheels, this gives the space needed to remove the tank. Remember, use a brass punch to remove the locking ring on the tank. Also use air pressure to blow away dirt around the ring lock.
