Yesterday, I replaced the driver's side map light in my own '99 Intrepid. There are two metal clips that have been snapped into place on the top (hidden) side of the map light fixture. Grab either side of the fixture and pull down. (Use your fingers if you can and try using your knuckles as a fulcrum on the interior ceiling to avoid pulling down too far. The metal clips are no more than 1" in length.)

Once open, you'll see both lights snapped in. Dislodge either by pinching the plastic on either side of the bulb. Once open, replace your bulb and reassemble.

Finding a #192 bulb though might be your most difficult challenge. I wound up ordering one from an auto supply store for $1.49 plus tax.

Good luck!

I was wondering this also and just did mine. YES, you have to grab the entire light assembly and pull down, as there are 2 of those metal-into-plastic clips that hold it in place. Then just unsnap the socket(s), change the bulb(s) and snap back in.

I think the bulbs are 194 types, which are all over most stores, even Walmarts. 194LL is a longer life replacement.
