You are going to need access from above and below so jack and support vehicle safely.

If you can suck all the oil out of the pump, I use a cheap Turkey baster for this, the discard it when it turns to mush.

The bolts that hold the brackets to the engine are fairly obvious and some have to be loosened from behind and below the pump.

The hoses should be loosened before removing the pump from the car.

Finish unbolting and then finish removing the lines.

Depending on what replacement pump you have you may have to pull the front pulley off and that takes a special puller, most retail parts stores rent this tool fairly cheap.

The system should be flushed as part of the reassembly.

To flush reinstall pump in reverse order but leave the low pressure return line off.

Plug or cap the return fitting on the pump and extend the return line into a bucket.

Pour oil into the reservoir and have a Friend start the car and turn the wheels back and forth while you pour oil in.

When the wheels have gone back and forth a couple times shut the car off and connect the hose to the reservoir normally.

Top up, run turn the wheel shut down and check level.

How do you Replace power steering pump Chevy pu 350 motor?

To replace the power steering pump on a Chevy pickup with a 350 motor, first, disconnect the battery and relieve the pressure in the power steering system by turning the steering wheel. Then, remove the drive belt and disconnect the power steering lines from the pump. Unbolt the pump from its mounting bracket and replace it with the new pump, reattaching the lines, and then reinstall the drive belt. Finally, refill the power steering fluid and check for leaks before reconnecting the battery and testing the system.
