remove 33 mm bolt. reinstall bolt a couple threads to prevent pitman arm from flying off. remove pitman arm. you will probably need to heat it red hot where it meets the shaft. using a breaker bar with a persuasion pipe on end helps on the removal tool. remove dust cover by tapping a flathead screwdriver with a hammer and deforming it enough to get an ice pick with a 90 degree bend under it. remove snap ring. turn steering wheel back and forth will generate enough pressure to force seal and washer out. refrain from turning wheel all the way in either direction. reverse procedure to reinstall.
