Bronco II used a sealed beam assembly. Take the cover off the front of the headlight (I don't recall it having screws offhand... I believe you just pry it gently off), and you'll see the screws you need to remove the sealed beam assembly. Take it out, swap the new one in.
if its an 88 acura legend then you will need to remove the couple of bolts that hold it down and take it to the local auto store. like other cars you can just replace the bulb but on these acura you need to replace the whole headlight unit
Purchase replacement lamps first before disassembling vehicle - See sources and related links below for more information on lamps. Remove the front turn signal light held in place by 3 Star-Head screws. Remove the front grill, held in place by 8 Star-head screws. Remove the 4 bolts holding the headlight in, using a #10 socket. Pull the headlight forward. Remove plug from bulb. Twist bulb counter-clockwise to remove. Replace new bulb.
POSSIBLY A LOOSE GROUND WIRE AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR ON MINE,GOOD LUCK! The most likely cause on the late 80's Bronco & Ranger for headlight problems is the failure of the Dimmer switch connection. I had to completely replace the connector & switch on my '88 Bronco II to resolve the problem.
The light bulb or the taillight lens? Open the trunk to replace the bulb.
To replace the headlight dimmer switch on an 87 Olds Delta 88 you need to open the instrument panel under the steering column. Next, remove the two screws holding the switch in place, remove old switch, and reverse directions to replace with new switch.
Remove, clean, replace IAC (Idle Air Control).
