on my 1996 mazda, i had to jack up the car and remove the right front wheel to get to the bottom through-bolt holding the alternator. the 2 tension adjustment bolts are accessed from the top. I also removed the splash shield for access to the belt. Since the alternator belt is inboard of the power steering belt, you also have to loosen this belt. it's me ...reysher
