If it is a powerstroke the fuel filter is located under the engine emblem on your motor it just unscrews
You have a top mount fuel fiter (front center of engine) and a frame mount which is under the driver inboard to the frame rail they are sold as a pair these need to be changed on a regular maintance schedule there have been cases of injector damage due to low fuel pressure caused by stopped up filters
