That is actually a door switch problem instead of an alarm problem. Find the door that is not registering as closed and check out the little switch by the hinges, you might just need to spray it with some WD40.

In an closed circuit will the lights be on or off?

In a closed circuit, the lights will be on, assuming there is a power source connected to the circuit and the switch controlling the lights is turned on. This is because the closed circuit allows the flow of electricity from the power source to the lights, completing the circuit and causing the lights to illuminate.

Why do warning lights in dash stay on after you changed the battery on Pontiac sunbird?

If the warning lights on your Pontiac Sunbird's dash remain illuminated after changing the battery, it could be due to a few reasons. First, the vehicle's computer may need to reset or relearn certain parameters after a battery disconnect. Additionally, there could be an issue with the new battery connections or a fault in the vehicle's electrical system, such as a blown fuse or a malfunctioning sensor. It's also possible that the warning lights are indicating an existing issue unrelated to the battery change.
