You shouldn't really reset it until you know why the light is on. You can find this out by going to any place that will do OBD2(1996 and newer) or a OBD1(1995 or older) test. That test can clear it. Or there is always the non-recommended way too. that would be to disconnect the negative battery cable for 15+ minutes. doing this you will lose all of your radio presets and time in the vehicle.
