If there is no gas leaking or the smell of gas push the button down on top of
the inertia switch ( located in the front passenger footwell , by or behind the
kick panel )
Turn your ignition key to the RUN position for a few seconds and then turn your
ignition key to the OFF position . Make another check for any gas leaking or the
smell of gas , if none go ahead and start the engine

The fuel pump inertia switch is a safety item that shuts off the electric fuel pump if your Explorer is in a collision . If the switch is tripped , and you don't see gas leaking or smell gas , push the button down on top of the switch to reset it , that will restore power to the fuel pump
