In a 1997 VW Cabrio, the radio fuse is typically located in the fuse box, which is found under the dashboard on the driver's side. Look for a diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover to identify the specific fuse related to the radio, usually labeled as "Radio" or "Accessory." If the fuse is blown, replacing it should restore power to the radio. Always ensure the ignition is off before checking or replacing fuses.

AnsOn erugh- the cabrio radio reset. The code is in your sound system manual (part of the larger manual). if you bought your car used, its likely the owner removed the card w/ the code. I've had my code memorized for years. I think you can take your car to VW to get the whole system reconfigured for a new security code if you can't find it. Sorry- and good luck. If the display says "SAFE" reset the radio display as follows: On the radio panel hold the "seek" button down by pushing it on the right. Let go, enter the radio code using the radio station buttons. Hold the "seek" button down again by pushing it to the right. The radio will come back on.
