Replace belt self tensioner, if applicable.
Adjust belt tension.
Replace belt.
Have ac pressures checked.
AC compressor may be failing.
I'm Guessing that your talking about the A/C compressor, in which there are 1 or 2 wires going to the clutch. Disconnecting this wire(or 2) will disable the compressor clutch stopping the compressor from working.
The A/C compressor is clutch driven, when electricity is applied to a coil, it engages the clutch. Most likely the coil shorted out in the A/C clutch on the front of the compressor.
low freon, bad pressure switch, bad compressor clutch.
It was the fan motor
If the clutch on the AC compressor has seized, the engine can in some situations stop running. The compressor could be bad but it is also possible that the clutch only is bad.
could be your a\c clutch in the compressor.?. or maybe pressure leaks.
Yes it can and more so on smaller vehicles......
it may bind when using the clutch, it will squeal when not using the clutch, and stop when you do. You may also feel or hear a constant grinding like noise, this is the bearings going bad.
Blown fuse (compressor clutch) refrigerant leak
The ac compressor's clutch may be blown. If so the compressor will not spin and provide air. The fan could also have a bad motor which will stop the fans from working.
If the clutch is making a noise, you could have a more severe problem on your hand, you should probably get a certified tech to look at your bike if you can find anyone that doesn't charge an arm and a leg just to do a simple diagnosis.
If you are wanting to stop the A/C from working, then just pull the fuse or disconnect the power to the compressor clutch. take the slack by using a half inch rachet on the tension pully, remove the part of the belt from the a/c compressor use a peice of string or tape and mark the slack auto will give you a belt that will be close to what u need . It worked for me
