Essentially, yes. Follow the guidelines in your user manual for the proper weight and you'll be fine. If your bike has a lot of miles on it, you may notice some blue/gray smoke initially, but that should clear up. Using non-synthetic oils builds a varnish on the seals, particularly the piston rings which will fill small crevasses on the cylinder walls. Switching to synthetic will remove this varnish and allow a slight amount through the ring which will burn off each time the spark plug is fired. Particularly when the motor is cold. It shouldn't do it all the time. The more mileage on the bike, the longer this will take to fade. It may take more than one oil change.
Synthetic. Turbos should always be synthetic.
If you have kept regular oil changes, no prep is required. Just go and put the synthetic oil in.
As the additives wear out and the oil ages it will change to a dark brown color just like regular oil
5W30, 10W30 regular, synthetic blend, or Full synthetic will work just fine
No - in fact, your engine might just appreciate it!
Yes, you can with no problem. Virtualy all oils, synthetic & conventional, are interchangeable.
Go straight to synthetic. There's no need to "wean" it off regular oil.
Nothing happens, they just mix. You can buy "blended" motor oil.
The oil kind off depends on temperature and mileage if you car is below 100K miles in regular climate use 10-30 semi synthetic (best for the price) if you in a hot climate like Arizona use 10-40 semi synthetic if you car is over 100k but below 200k use 10-40 semi synthetic for regular climate 20-50 for hot then every thing above 200k use 20-50 semi synthetic and remember change it every 3k its also good to change 4 quarts of transmission fluid every 3rd oil change. (just regular transmission fluid) No need of changing transmission filter but you can clean the pan every 60k
u don't, just replace the switch with a new one.
You can use Synthetic oil at any time. You can even mix it with regular oil. Just be sure and use the correct weight.
You can even mix them together. If you switch back to conventional just remember to change your oil & filter at least every 5,000 miles or more if you drive under severe conditions. You can even mix them together.
