I just did this yesterday. It can be a pain in the ass, but keep trying. I would suggest waiting for the motor to cool if it has been ran lately. All you have to do is get a good grip on the wire(or the metal piece around it if you like) and pull as hard as you can. It should pop right off. There is a metal piece surrounding the wire end that needs to go on the new wires also. Hope this helps. It can also help to give them a twist while pulling. Hope this helps. "G" Both of the answers above are good, i have also found that a nice set of angled plug wire pliers come in quite handy, especialy on the back plugs. //My cars plugs had not been changed in 130k and I could not remove the wires with my bare hands due to corrosion. So I took a regular sized vice grip clamped it on the metal sleeve (will bend, but can be bent back). Then took a 2ft cheater bar and pried off the plugs. This made the removal comparatively easy. This ripped the wires off without removing the clip that connects to the plug on two wires. when this happened I tightened the vice grips and repeated. - spartandude (2002 grand prix GT).
