How do you turn the seatbelt chime off in your 2010 Mitsubishi outlander?

1. Remove the plastic cover on the side of the seatbelt receptacle using a hollow T10 torx bit.

2. Carefully pull the plastic cover away from the receptacle. It contains a spring loaded slide switch.

3. Remove the small spring and slide the switch to its lowermost position (turning the dash light and chime off)

4. Replace the side cover and screws.

5. Store the spring for future reversal of the process.
