easy to be done like only takes 5 mins, check fuses for live in this case its the bottom fuse third one in as i have done so to mines, you cut the wire at the back and branch a live off to the lighter, then you wire the earth to anywere metal i used the metal behind the radio as its easy to get at and you use less wire, just remove radio unit and there sud be a place to screw into use that to connect the earth to it, connect live to centre pin on lighter and earth to outer pin and slide into hole, that's it not to hard like if your told is it???
You can find a Chevy Corsica cigarette lighter fuse in the fuse box. The cigarette lighter fuse will be one of the four auxiliary fuses at the bottom of the second column.
Number 26.
yes
The fuse for the cigarette lighter on a 1996 Vauxhall Corsa is located in the fuse box under the dash. It is found in slot 23.
all looms are the same whether it has electric windows, cigarette lighter, central locking or not, look at 1 with it and use the same wires which will be capped off in yours
open the bonnet it should be on your right by the struts
When your cigarette lighter fuse is good and there is voltage measured between the fuse's load side to ground (To check this, use a dc voltmeter or a 12v automotive lamp and an automotive lamp socket. Connect one wire to the fuse and the other wire to the chassis of the vehicle the lamp should glow if voltage is present on the fuse terminal.), check the wire between the fuse and cigarette lighter. This wire should be without cut and when the wire is good then check the connector on the cigarette lighter socket for loose connection or corrosion. One more thing is that, make sure that your cigarette lighter fits the cigarette lighter socket because not all cigarette lighters will work on some cigarette lighter sockets.
Dont smoke
check the fuse or the ground wire.
If the cigarette lighter is not working and the ACC fuse, inside the car, left of steering wheel, is still good (radio is working), the "fuse" on the back side of the cigarette lighter socket, a brown wire, has blown. Socket needs to be replaced or fixed with a soldering iron and a new wire.
I believe there is a blank block next to the ashtray where the lighter socket would be normally. You'll need tu buy one and install it.
the color of the positive wire should be a bright red color.
