Oh, dude, it's like you're trying to start a battery-powered spaceship or something. Okay, so to get 36 volts, you'd wire the batteries in series, connecting the positive terminal of one battery to the negative terminal of the next. So, it's like a battery daisy chain, but with more power and less flowers. Just be careful not to zap yourself, unless you're into that sort of thing.
Depends on if you want a series or parallel circuit. In a series circuit if you wire six 12 volt batteries together you will end up with 72 volts. Wire the same six 12 volt batteries together in parallel and you will still have 12 volts. In a parallel circuit you just wire all positive posts together and all negative posts together. In a series circuit you would wire positive to negative to increase the voltage with each battery added.
Two in series, two in parallel The link below has a couple of diagrams.
Series three of the six batteries into group one. Series the other three remaining batteries into group two. Parallel group one and twos positives together. Parallel group one and twos negatives together. The total voltage will equal 36 volts on the paralleled positive and negative cables. If you are thinking of using these on a golf cart then forget it. Automobile batteries are not deep cell batteries as a golf cart battery is. They are not designed to be totally discharged as a deep cell battery is. They will work but will not last very long. The repeated charge and discharge will destroy the batteries in a very short time.
It depends upon the chemistry. Alkaline cells generate 1.5 Volts each, so six of them would yield 9 Volts, whereas six rechargeable cells would only yield 7.5 Volts, since each cell produces 1.25 Volts.

It is the nature of most batteries to put out 1.5 volts per cell. A 9 volt battery will have 6 cells and the size of each cell will relate to it's capacity for energy storage. To make a 9 volt battery from six 1.5 cells, you would hook one wire to all the - post and one wire to all the + post. The end of each wire would now be the + and - wires or post for a battery with 6 cells and 9 volts. If you want to use batterys that have other voltages, just add the volts of each to get the totaled volts. You will need to use like cells.
If you connect 2 six volt batteries in parallel it will still give you six volts but it will give you twice the cranking power. To obtain twelve volts from the two six volt batteries they will have to be connected in series.
what is the voltage of your batteries and how many volts do need to run the golf cart?for example: you have six 12V batteries and you need 24V to run the golf cart then:Set the batteries in pairs, for each pair run a wire from the one positive terminal of battery one to the one negative terminal of battery two, leave the other terminal of each battery alone. now you have created three 24V batteries.Next you need to connect all batteries to the golf cart to use their power.take set one of the the three sets of batteries and connect the free positive terminal " not connected to the other battery" and connected to the golf cart positive connection, the same goes for the negative.do the same for the other two sets.
A group of ten (10) batteries composed of 6 Volt and 12 Volt types will have six (6) each, 6 Volt and four (4) each 12 Volt batteries. The contributing voltages will be 6x6 and 12x4 for a total of 84 Volts.
3x12=36 , 6x8=48 hmmmm. Probably something more to the golf cart electrical system.sorry my mistake!! it should read six,6volts,not six 8 volts
yeas and it has to be at 6 volts cause its a six bolt battery u can also head to ur local autozone store and theyll help u out take it from an autozoner himeslf
Two six volt batteries in series makes 12 volts so switch the charger to the 12 volt position.
