To clean the EGR valve on a 2002 Toyota Tacoma, first, disconnect the battery and remove the EGR valve from the engine. Use a carburetor cleaner or throttle body cleaner and a soft brush or cloth to remove carbon buildup from the valve and passages. Ensure all residues are cleaned off, then reassemble the valve, reconnect the battery, and start the engine to check for proper operation. Always consult your vehicle's manual for specific instructions and safety precautions.

It depends on what engine you have but the 02 is in the exhaust pipe or exhaust manifold and the EGR is a round disc shaped thing on the rear of the engine.

The valve might be fine and it's a DPFE sensor, or the valve and secondary air system just need a cleaning.Don't throw money at replacing something just yet...See "Related Questions" below for more

Where is the PCV valve located on a 2002 Nissan Altima 2.5?

Contacted the dealer and the 02 does not have an egr valve The original question was "where is the PCV valve located? An EGR stands for "exhaust gas recirculation" which is different from a PCV valve "positive crank case ventilation". Each serves a unique and different function within the engine. Therefore the original question remains unanswered! daaaaa... The PCV valve is located on the back side of the valve cover. You will see the hose that the valve is connected to, running out from the back of the valve cover. The actual PCV valve is screwed into the valve cover, and the hose will have to be disconnected to access the valve.

Where on 95 Chevy s10 is oxygen sensor at on truck?

There are 2 sensors on this vehicle. Check youre exhaust pipe from the manifold down. Easy to locate--they look like a spark plug but have a wire attached to them. If youre vehicle idles real rough, youre EGR valve needs cleaning. Shops will tell you that you may need a new one but I was able to clean mine. Not sure you can clean 02 sensors.

Is an 02 sensor and egr the same?

No, an O2 (oxygen) sensor and an EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve are not the same. The O2 sensor measures the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gases to help the engine control system optimize fuel efficiency and emissions. In contrast, the EGR valve recirculates a portion of the exhaust gases back into the engine's intake to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions and improve combustion efficiency. Both play distinct roles in managing engine performance and emissions.
