Low beam headlights typically provide illumination up to about 150 to 200 feet (approximately 45 to 60 meters) in front of a vehicle. They are designed to illuminate the road directly ahead without blinding oncoming drivers, making them effective for use in urban areas and during inclement weather. The exact reach can vary based on the vehicle's design, headlight type, and alignment.

Unless you have fog lights which are specifically designed for the purpose you are better of using your low beam. As using the high beam will tend to bounce light back at you causing you not to be able to see as far into the fog and being less able to discern oncoming objects and lights.Low beam headlights, low beam headlights & fog lights or just fog lights unless its night time.lower headlightsLow beams, fog lights or both.
