that warning noise is telling you your brake pads need to be replaced as soon as possible, plus i would replace them very quickly anyway cause the noise is annoying
It would be more cost effective to replace the brake caliper. If you repair the brake caliper it will cost you more in the long run.
Book time for replacing brake booster 2.6 hrs
Depends on car make and year - you didn't share this with us .
It should only take about an hour to replace the brake lines on a 1995 Toyota Corolla. The exact time will depend on your experience with replacing brake lines.
There is no specified time to replace the brake fluid of any vehicle, as long as you keep it topped up. Brake fluid does not 'wear out'. I have replaced the entire brake fluid on only a few occasions, and always only because I have been replacing seals or brake cylinders and it made sense to replace fluid then, before bleeding the system.
There is a problem with the Anti-lock Brake System if the warning light stays on ( as long as the red BRAKE light in your gauge cluster is not on , you still have " normal " brakes )
2 hours if
you need to replace your break pads
Hi, the grinding noise coming from the rear brakes is either the shoes have worn out & are down to the metal, or the drums havn't been removed for a long time and are full of brake dust / rust etc.
oil warning or oil pressure warning: This tells you not enough oil is getting to the engine either because you are low on oil or something is wrong with the oil pump. Stop and get oil in your vehicle immediately, no oil in the engine can destroy it quickly. Battery warning: your battery isn't being charged, often an alternator problem, you wouldn't want to drive too long with this light on or your battery will die and your car will stall. brake warning: either your parking brake is on or you are running low on brake fluid. If you drive too long with the parking brake on, the rotors will heat up and you will have no braking power. Temperature gauge: generally the temperature gauge needle should stay a little below the middle when the cooling system is working correctly. If it starts getting up near the red, pull over and stop your vehicle and get it fixed. It doesn't take long to destroy an overheated engine.
Approximately 2 hours.
If you hear a grinding sound when you hit the brakes you probably need new brake pads. Good chance you will also need new rotors. Take the tire(s) off and look at the pads. If the metal part is about to touch the rotor you need new pads. Let it go a little longer and you may need new rotors. Some pads have a small metal tab that will touch the rotor when you need new pads. It will cause a squealing noise when you hit the breaks. When you hear the squeal you need to replace the pads. If you ignore the squeal long enough you may also need new rotors Normally you have a early warning system on most vechicules that is simple when your car is in motion and the brake pedal is not depressed you will hear a squeaking sound which gives you a warning that it is time for the wallet to be opened.
