High milage motor oil has extra additives which help prevent oil leaks.
until 1984 the pan gaskets timing cover seal, and valve seals were made of rubber. synthetics will break down the rubber compounds and cause leaks. U can use a synthetic & motor oil blend with less chance of leaks.
Synthetic or Conventional is your choice. If you have no major engine oil leaks and the engine is in good condition then consider using a Quality Synthetic like Amsoil. If the engine leaks oil then have it fixed first. Till then I would recommend using Castrol GTX 5W-30. Hope This Helps.
Synthetic oil can be used in older motors, but if you have any small leaks, they will get significantly worse. I'd recommend a High Mileage blend like Valvoline Max Life or something similar.
That is a personal choice as to Synthetic vs Conventional, if I'm not mistaken it calls for an SAE 5W30. If the engine has NO Major Oil leaks then I would use a Synthetic Motor Oil 5W30 or even a 0W30. Hope this Helps.
That's okay.
10W-30 is preferred. The rest depends upon you Synthetic or Conventional (dino). I side with the Synthetic better engine protection. As long as you have no major leaks, should be fine. It is a combination of synthetic oil and conventional oil.
No, you can even mix synthetic with conventional oil. It will do no harm at all.
If switching the leads on a 3-phase motor did not result in a reversal of direction, it could be due to incorrect lead identification or a faulty switching mechanism. Double-check the connection diagram for the motor and ensure that you are switching the correct leads. If the issue persists, there may be a problem with the motor itself that requires further investigation or professional assistance.
