My wife is facing this issue with her 05 Accent...dealer says around 80 000 to 90 000 kms. One thing I learned from YouTube video is if you are prone to jack rabbit starts and heavier throttle, the belt will wear faster due to higher stresses on the belt according to John who does part one and two of replacing timing belt on 02 Accent! I cannot stress how much cheaper it is to replace belt sooner rather than later because if you drop a valve on a piston due to belt breaking...you are in for a real major repair or possibly engine destruction!!
how to replace an alternator belt on 2001 hyundai accent
According to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etcetera ) For the 1.6 litre four cylinder engine in a 2005 Hyundai Accent ( the timing belt is changed at 60,000 miles )
( YES ) according to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etcetera ) the 1.6 liter four cylinder engine in a 2008 Hyundai Accent IS AN INTERFERENCE ENGINE
The 2012 Hyundai Accent is equipped with a timing chain rather than a timing belt. Timing chains generally require less maintenance than timing belts because they are designed to last the life of the engine. However, it's still important to follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule to ensure the engine runs smoothly.
Yes a hyundai ix35 2010 has a timing belt. The timing belts in a hyundai ix35 2010 are durable and offer a very high resistance to temperature.
No a 2002 Hyundai Sonata does not have two timing belts. There is only one timing belt in the car. The timing belt replacement kit will include another belt but it is the balance shaft belt not a second timing belt.
you have to remove the belts and water pump pulley the water pump is located behind the timing cover.
Probably because timing belts are notoriously unreliable.
It must have a timing CHAIN because Gates ( they make timing belts etc. ) does not list a timing belt for the 3.8 liter V6 engine in a 2006 Hyundai Azera
Yes , according to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etcetera ) the 2.0 liter four cylinder engine in a 2001 Hyundai Elantra has a timing ( BELT )
I have 1999 Hyundia Accent and I was told my timing belt may need to be replace because its over 100k miles on it. and Its driving real good and I have good mileage. Do i need to replace a timing belt? Belts stretch for one thing and for another, the cogs on timing belts wear out. Your car will have slop in timing and this means, though it might seem to be functioning OK, it's not because the timing of spark and fuel injection in each cylinder is not precise anymore. If you leave it long enough, the timing gears might jump a cog or two on the belt and this will cause misfiring and possible damage to your engine. So play it safe and change the belt according to the Hyundai recommendation.
You need to replace the timing belts
