650 CCA is about average.
Batteries use Cranking Amps not amp hours but the Die Hard Gold has 320 Cold cranking amps
For a 12 hp lawn tractor, a typical battery size would be a Group 12 or Group U1 battery, which typically has a capacity of around 12-35 amp-hours. It's important to check the owner's manual for specific recommendations, as battery dimensions and specifications may vary by model. Ensure the battery has a sufficient cold cranking amp (CCA) rating to handle starting in colder temperatures.

There could be a parasitic draw. An amp draw may be as simple as electrolytic moisture across the top of the battery. To check for a draw from the tractor an amp meter needs to be connected in series between a battery terminal and the terminal's connector. I don't know what the spec is, but I would think anything above 30 mA is too much. I would test the battery first to know if it is good.
A typical deep cycle battery usually has amp-hour ratings ranging from 50 to 200 amp-hours.
Depends on the battery you buy. They come in different CCA.
there are 12 of them in said such batman
Deep cycle batteries typically have amp hour ratings ranging from 50 to 200 amp hours, depending on the size and capacity of the battery.
Total battery amp hours of the battery, divided by the amp draw, equals the life of the battery.Example=200 amp hours, divided by 5 amps, equals 40.00 hours. There are many different factors. This is based on constant draw.
The ideal voltage for a lawn tractor battery is typically 12 volts.
If the tractor had a battery in it when you were jumping it, there is a chance that the battery is bad. Try unhooking the tractors battery and trying again. Hook your jumper cables to the battery cables themselves without being attached to the battery. If it runs then just replace the battery. A battery with a short in it will keep the mower from charging and could cause it to die. If there was no battery in the tractor when you were jumping it, then the tractor is not charging and will have to be diagnosed as to what the problem is.
You can safely charge it with a 15 amp charger. You can also charge it with a 1 amp charger it will just take longer. Do not overcharge the battery.
