answer is simple if you dont plan on keeping the car long!! drill a hole through the shaft and throught the wiper and install a pin or bolt and nut!!!! The question you ask is too involved for a proper answer. You may want to go to a car parts store, or book store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library. U need 2 replace the Pivot point 4 the wiper. The GM dealer solution is to replace the motor. $57.00 in parts plus labor. There is a $5.00 kit that you can purchase on Ebay that works great. Search on "Windshield Wiper Repair" The post is called a wiper pivot> In order to replace this, you have to remove the wiper arms. Next, you have to remove the cowling. This is the part between the back of the hood and the windshield. I beleve the screws thatt attach them are a 7mm or 9/32. Be careful as some of these screws are hidden. HINT: to make this job a lot easier, remove the hood, I know, it sounds crazy, but trust me. Not sure if pivot come separately..(from dealer), but you could price out the whole linkage as an assembly. Its callled a wiper transmission, and I replaced one on a Delta 88, I think the part was around a hundred bucks.... I and good luck...........John G..
