You dont really need to put any oil in the filter as long as you put some oil on your finger and rub it on the gasket. If you want you can put a small amount of oil in the filter not sure how the filter is screwed in (upside down or sideways) you may have some oil leak out while you try to install it.

No oil needed INSIDE the Filter (just around the rubber gasket) because the Engine Oil Pump will Pump it in when everything is ready, and the vehicle is started. Hand Tighten the Filter with a 'Strong one hand' or 'TWO hands' are better to tighten filter. - - Check for leaks when starting engine.
