Possible, yes. Practical.. not so much.
The first cub cadet tractor was made in 1960. Back then the staring price for one of them was $ 900.00. The first Cub Cadet tractor was put on the market by International Harvester in 1961. From 1959 to 1960 they had experimental, proto-type and pre-production models. The original price appears to have been between $900 and $1000.
you have to take it to a shop or get under it and put it on pully by pully!
Take it out of gear and put in neutral. You will be able to push/pull it.
For most Cub Cadet engines, it's recommended to use SAE 30 oil for warmer temperatures and 10W-30 for cooler conditions. Always check your owner's manual for specific oil recommendations, as different models may have different requirements. Additionally, using high-quality oil that meets API service standards can help ensure optimal engine performance and longevity. Regular oil changes are also important for maintenance.
I have a 2003 Cub Cadet 1525. This model is designed to shut off the cutting deck when the tractor is put into reverse. Not sure what model you have but my guess is that it's just a safety precation like the Cub.
